SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Felix Philip Sedar of Waukegan, who
4passed away on June 6, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born on June 19, 1927 in Waukegan; he was a
6retired fireman for the city of Waukegan and a United States
7Navy veteran; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He is remembered by his family as a loving father
9with a strong will and spirit, who shared his passion, courage,
10and strength with the people and things that he loved; he
11enjoyed music (Dean Martin and Perry Como were among his
12favorite singers) and had a beautiful voice himself; he loved
13singing in the Christmas choir at his home at Barton Senior
14Residence; and
 
15    WHEREAS, He loved to entertain people with his
16story-telling and jokes; he was an avid reader, and could not
17pass up a good western or detective novel; he was the biggest
18fan of his children as well as a devoted fan of the Milwaukee
19Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago White Sox; his love for
20animals brought him many wonderful golden retrievers as loyal
21companions throughout the years; and

1    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix
2Sedar and Eva Klem; his wife, Ann Dunski; his brothers,
3Lawrence and Richard (Mickey), and his sisters, Eva and Mary
4Ann; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Felix Sedar is survived by his children, Phyllis,
6Stephen, Barbara, and Edward (Marsha); his grandchildren,
7Alexandria and Jessica; and his many nieces and nephews;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11his family and friends, the passing of Felix Sedar; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Felix Sedar as a symbol of our
15sincere sympathy.
