SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James E. Kulp of Alton, who passed away
4on April 7, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born on March 1, 1923, in St. Louis,
6Missouri, the son of Ernest and Hilda (Gyer) Kulp; he married
7Kathleen Birk on July 11, 1971, in St. Louis; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He served his country in the United States Army
9during World War II; he was a reporter for the Alton Telegraph
10from 1957 until retiring in 1988 and was still writing articles
11for the paper up to the year 2010; and
 
12    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife;
13and his sister, Dorothy Jorden; and
 
14    WHEREAS, James Kulp is survived by his son, Martin Kulp,
15and his spouse, Sheila; his brothers, Ben Kulp and Charles
16Kulp, and his spouse, Gail; his sister, Gina, and her spouse,
17Joe Marcheski; and his brother-in-law, Ted Jorden; therefore,
18be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
