SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Nathaniel Hamilton of Gurnee, who passed
4away on March 13, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nathaniel Hamilton was born on February 9, 1936,
6in Savannah, Georgia; his parents were Ralph and Henrietta
7Hamilton; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Nathaniel Hamilton joined the United States Navy
9at an early age; after serving for 20 years, which included 4
10tours of duty in Vietnam, he retired with honors at Naval
11Station Great Lakes; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Nathaniel Hamilton served as a teacher and school
13administrator at North Chicago Community High School and Zion
14Benton Township High School for 17 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Nathaniel Hamilton was the founder and instructor
16of the 44-year legacy, World Champion Angel Drill Team and
17Bunny Drill Team; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Nathaniel Hamilton was preceded in death by his
19parents, Ralph and Henrietta Hamilton; his maternal aunt,
20Cassie Jones; and his cousins, Ruby Butler and Troy Jones; and

1    WHEREAS, Nathaniel Hamilton is survived by his loving wife
2of 22 years, Judy; his beloved sister, Rose Marie Mars (Fred
3Sr.); his "brother", Emeal Patrick Butler; his "daughter",
4Amanda Lefevers; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and
5friends; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8his family and friends, the passing of Nathaniel Hamilton; and
9be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Nathaniel Hamilton as an expression
12of our sympathy.
