SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Valeria Joyce Madison; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Valeria Madison was born on July 6, 1948, in
5Waukegan; her parents were William and Rosa Madison; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Valeria Madison was educated in the Waukegan
7Public School District; she later worked for the District; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Valeria Madison joined Antioch Baptist Church at a
9young age; she later moved her membership to First Corinthian
10Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of late Rev.
11Peter Goudeaux, and the current Pastor, Rev. Eugene Roberson;
12she served in various capacities in the church, including the
13Voices of Corinthian choir, and helped with the annual stage
14play, He Decided to Die; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Valeria Madison was preceded in death by her
16parents; her brothers, Vernon "Bird", Clarence Dwayne, and
17William "Bobby Joe" Madison III; her foster brother, Fleming
18Davis, Jr.; and her foster sister, Inez Jackson; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Valeria Madison is survived by her brother,
20Winfrey Madison; her sister, Ody Madison; her niece, Angela

1(Reggie) Baldwin; her nephews, Michael Madison and V. David
2Madison; her great-nephew, Andre' Madison; her great-nieces,
3Asja Triplett, Liana Baldwin, and Nicole Madison; her
4great-great niece, Amir Madison; and her many other family
5members and special friends; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8her family and friends, the passing of Valeria Joyce Madison;
9and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Valeria Madison as an expression of
12our sympathy.
