SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of David L. Droste, who passed away on
4January 31, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Droste was born on September 4, 1933, in
6Alton; he was the son of Theodore and Mary (Brinkman) Droste;
7he married the former Anne Jeannette Maher on July 10, 1954, in
8Alton; and
 
9    WHEREAS, David Droste attended St. Ambrose Grade School and
10graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 1952; and
 
11    WHEREAS, David Droste served his country as a member of the
12United States Army during the Korean War; and
 
13    WHEREAS, David Droste retired from Labor Local No. 218; he
14was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, David Droste was preceded in death by his brother,
17Ben Droste, and his sister, Sister Mary Ann Droste, D.P.; and
 
18    WHEREAS, David Droste is survived by his wife, Anne; his
19daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Mike Wickenhauser, Laura

1and David Dixon, Jennifer and Tim Bonnell, Jane and Steve
2Bradshaw, and Lisa and Dan Gentry; his son, David John Droste;
3his grandchildren, Stephen and Eric Wickenhauser, Matt and
4Amanda Cress, Danielle, LeAnne, and Aaron Bonnell, Suzanne
5Stephan and her husband, Dan, Kyle Bradshaw, Jamie Gentry, and
6Katie Droste; his great-grandchildren, Joe and Luke Stephan;
7his brothers and sisters, Sister M. Juliana Droste, FSM, Sister
8M. Dolores Droste, OSU, George Droste, Paul Droste, Julia
9Mulrean, Agnes Hesse, Sister Clara Louise Droste, FSM, and
10Gertrude Droste; and his longtime Army buddy, Douglas "Scotty"
11Hall; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
14his family and friends, the passing of David L. Droste; and be
15it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of David Droste as an expression of our
18sympathy.
