SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Theresa Faye "T" Turner of North Chicago,
4who passed away on January 13, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born on March 18, 1954 in Waukegan, to the
6union of Sam and Beulah (Ballenger) Turner; she graduated from
7North Chicago Community High School and was a member of the
8First Baptist Church of North Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, She retired from the Waukegan Yacht Club after 22
10years of service as a Head Chef; she had been currently working
11for Morale Welfare and Recreation Service, at Great Lakes, and
12the Avenue Stores at Vernon Hills; and
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her mother and
14father, Beulah and Sam Turner; her grandparents, Elenora and
15Richard Ballenger; her sister, Rosa (Turner) Williams; her
16brothers, Felton Turner and Robert 'Bobby" Turner; her niece,
17Elvia Johnson; her uncles, Scott and William Ballenger and
18Clarence Turner; and her aunts, Gertrude (Ballenger) Harden,
19Ann (Ballenger) Ransom, and Eloise Turner; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Theresa Turner is survived by her brothers,
21Richard (Kathy Baker) Turner and Kevin Turner; her sisters,

1Betty (Leroy) Johnson, Mildred Adams, and Carolyn (John Sr.)
2Williams; her aunts, Mary (Cyrus) Wakefield and Eloise Shelton;
3a very special niece, Katrina Denise Johnson; and numerous
4nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, cousins, and
5friends; and her special friend, Katie Whaley (Willie C.
6Scafe); therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9her family and friends, the passing of Theresa Turner; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Theresa Turner as a symbol of our
13sincere sympathy.
