SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ronald E. Koren, who passed away on
4January 13, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronald Koren served his country as a member of the
6United States Naval Reserves; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Ronald Koren was the owner and operator of Koren
8Motor Sales in Joliet for over 50 years; he was also the owner
9and operator of Crest Creek Plaza; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ronald Koren was a member of St. Anne Catholic
11Church, Club 66, and the Plainfield Moose Lodge; he was also an
12avid boater; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ronald Koren was preceded in death by his beloved
14wife of 57 years, Mary Joan (nee Kraske), and his parents,
15Edward and Amelia (nee Bolatto) Koren; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ronald Koren was the loving father of Ron Jr.
17(Carolyn), Richard (Melissa), Victoria, and Edward (Janis)
18Koren; the dear grandfather of Sean (Jill), Douglas (Nikki),
19Michael, Chad, Max, and Fay; he is also survived by his
20great-grandchildren, Amelia, Silvia, Liddia, Nicholas, and

1Nolan; his sister, Charlene (Donald) Tomich; his brother,
2Donald Koren; his nephews, Donald (Brittany) and Dean
3(Ann-Marie) Tomich; his great-nephews, Jared and Jayce; his
4great-nieces, Mia and Ava; and his boating companion, Jim Kobe;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8his family and friends, the passing of Ronald E. Koren; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Ronald Koren as an expression of our
12sympathy.
