SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Tracy Anderson Cuevas of Rantoul, who
4passed away on December 30, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born March 4, 1958, a daughter of George
6and Deloris (Falk) Anderson; she married Nelson Cuevas on
7August 21, 2004, at Word of Life Church, Rantoul; and
 
8    WHEREAS, She was raised the daughter of an Air Force
9sergeant and attended many schools: Gwinn, Michigan; K.I.
10Sawyer Air Force Base, Michigan; Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto
11Rico; Oscoda, Michigan; and Eastlawn, Myna Thompson, J.W.
12Eater, and Rantoul Township High School, all in Rantoul, where
13she graduated; following graduation, she lived the rest of her
14life in Rantoul; and
 
15    WHEREAS, She became a member of the American Association of
16Christian Counselors in 2004, and on July 24, 2005, she was
17ordained a minister of Christian Life Church, Rantoul; she and
18her husband started a ministry to Hispanic/Latino children in
192003; in October 2004, they founded Cultivators, a nonprofit
20agency; through the years, it grew into a substantial ministry
21whose mission was to provide education and training to members
22of the Hispanic/Latino community and others in matters

1attending to their financial, social, and spiritual lives; she
2was an avid flower gardener and loved her dogs; and
 
3    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her father; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Tracy Cuevas is survived by her husband, Nelson;
5her mother; her foster daughter, Amy Chipman; her sister, Terri
6(Ken) Bingaman; her brother, Tim (Bobbi) Anderson; and a niece
7and 5 nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10her family and friends, the passing of Tracy Cuevas; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Tracy Cuevas as a symbol of our
14sincere sympathy.
