SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The Members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Barbara Cleary of Chicago, who passed
4away on January 3, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born and raised in Chicago and was a first
6generation American; she graduated from Roosevelt High School;
7she spent most of her adult lifetime as a homemaker and
8caregiver, giving freely of her caring to her husband, family,
9and those closest to her; and
 
10    WHEREAS, She was a mentor and role model to her daughters
11Lara and Teryn, and taught them the value of family and
12education, and was very proud of both of them and their
13accomplishments; and
 
14    WHEREAS, She was a loyal and giving friend who loved life,
15theater, music, travel, shopping, eating out, reading, and
16playing bridge for the past 40 years as a member of the Estes
17Avenue Bridge Group; and
 
18    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, James;
19her sisterin-law, Eileen Czablewski; her parents, Leo and
20Miriam Moritz; and her brother, Bernard; and

1    WHEREAS, Barbara Cleary is survived by her beloved
2daughters, Lara (Casey) Crnich and Teryn Cleary; her adored
3grandchildren, Cooper and Caroline Crnich; her brother, Donald
4Moritz; her sisters-in-law, Roberta, Kathy, and Barbara; her
5brother-in-law, Steve Cleary; her closest friends, Barbara
6(Gary) Fredrickson and Barbara (Butch) Melman; and her nieces
7and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10her family and friends, the passing of Barbara Cleary; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Barbara Cleary as a symbol of our
14sincere sympathy.
