SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lotteo Sam Balaco of Alton, who passed
4away on September 30, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born November 1, 1926, in Alton, and was
6the son of the late Sam and Blanche (Steele) Balaco; and
 
7    WHEREAS, He owned and operated the Bon Air for 40 years and
8later owned and operated Lotteo's Restaurant in Alton; and
 
9    WHEREAS, He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic
10Church; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Lotteo Balaco is surived by his daughter, Rosemary
12Stahlschmidt and her husband, Chris; his sons, Sam Balaco
13(Charlene), John Balaco (Renee), David Balaco (Valerie),
14Robert Balaco (Debbie), and Michael Balaco; his grandchildren,
15Stacy Dixon (Corey), Katie Balaco, Jennifer Balaco, Kelly
16Reeder (Brandon), Amy, Jason, and Marie Stahlschmidt, Michele
17McCoy (Ryan), and Brandon and Lindsey Balaco; his
18great-grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Matthew, Abbey, Avery,
19Piper, and Link; and his sisters; Christina Gennaro, JoVenna
20Price, and Amanda Borkowicz; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3his family and friends, the passing of Lotteo Balaco; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Lotteo Balaco as a symbol of our
7sincere sympathy.
