SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert J. "Bob" Maluska, Sr. formerly of
4North Chicago, who passed away on June 10, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born January 15, 1948 to the late Edward P.
6Maluska, Sr. and Victoria (Kasper) Maluska; he was always a
7hard working man and he made sure his family was taken care of;
8he was a firefighter for the North Chicago Fire Department and
9then followed his entrepreneurial dream of opening his own
10business, Maluska's Lanes Bowling Alley; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He worked for the Illinois State Tollway for many
12years; in his free time his hobbies included body and fender,
13auto mechanics, painting cars, "Scoopin the Loop" in his 1966
14Cadillac, fishing, playing golf, listening to Elvis,
15traveling, a good cup of coffee, and most of all playing
16Cribbage; and
 
17    WHEREAS, He was happily married to Chyrel E. Maluska; he
18was the loving father of 5 children, Darlene (Rick) Contino,
19Robert J. (Trisha) Jr., Lori Maluska-Staben, Christine
20(Stefan) Maluska-Rachev, and Chyrel L. (Raul) Rivera; he was
21the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren that he adored, Lori,
22Allie, Christy, Ashlin, Katiana, Noel, Nadia, Nikolas, Stefan

1Jr., Giana, Nina, Dominic, Mary, and Esteban; he also held a
2special place in his heart for his eldest granddaughter, Lori
3Danielle, for all the care and compassion she provided; he is
4also survived by his sister, Lorraine Glasscock; and his
5brother, Edward P. (Dolly) Maluska Jr.; as well as many nieces
6and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9his family and friends, the passing of Robert J. "Bob" Maluska,
10Sr.; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Robert J. "Bob" Maluska, Sr. as a
13symbol of our sincere sympathy.
