SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bilal Mallick of Lisle, who passed away
4on February 13, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was a sophomore at Naperville North High School
6and a member of the Naperville North Huskies Football team; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Bilal Mallick liked listening to hip-hop, playing
8football and Xbox games and chowing down on his mom's beef
9sandwiches; he was a determined football player who would show
10up for practice even when he was fasting for Ramadan; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He was the eldest son in a family with a bracelet
12of friends and relatives that encircles the globe, from the
13Indian states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to Great Britain to
14the far west suburbs; Bilal was born in England; he spent most
15of his youth in Downers Grove and most recently he lived in
16Lisle; and
 
17    WHEREAS, His early years in England made him a fan of
18Manchester United, but by the time he got to high school, he
19told his parents he wanted to play American football; and
 
20    WHEREAS, He liked pranks, Lou Malnati's pizza, the TV show

1"Castle", Mustang cars, Infiniti G35s, and playing FIFA soccer
2on his Xbox; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Bilal Mallick is survived by his father, Tanveer
4Mallick; his mother, Amber; his sisters, Nusaybah and Rumaysa;
5his brother, Muhummad; his maternal grandparents, Dr. Kishwar
6Begum and Ayaz B. Khan; his paternal grandparents, Arfa Mallick
7and Dr. Khursheed Mallick; his aunts, Deeba Mallick and Sanober
8Fasihi; and his uncles, Afzaal Khan and Dr. Naveed Mallick;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12his family, friends, fellow students, and others, the passing
13of Bilal Mallick; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Bilal Mallick as a symbol of our
16sincere sympathy.
