HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Representative Franco
4Coladipietro on his distinguished service to Illinois'
5Legislative District 45 and the people of the State of
6Illinois; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro has served in the
8Illinois House with honor and distinction; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro was born on June 13,
101968; he earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Northern
11Illinois University in 1990 and his Juris Doctorate from the
12John Marshall Law School in 1993; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro was admitted to the
14Illinois Bar Association in 1993 and the New York Bar
15Association in 1996; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro joined the law firm
17of Amari & Locallo in 1995; he is currently the managing
18partner of the firm's Bloomingdale office; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro is married to his
20wife, Amy, and has a son, Joey, and a daughter, Alyssa; and

1    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro was first elected to
2the Illinois House in 2007; he has subsequently been re-elected
3twice, representing the people of the DuPage County communities
4of Addison, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, Glendale
5Heights, Itasca, Medinah, Roselle, Wheaton, and Winfield; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro has served with
7distinction on the Financial Institutions committee as the
8Republican Spokesperson; he has also served on the Legislative
9Ethics committee, the International Trade & Commerce
10committee, the Business Occupational Licenses committee, the
11Public Utilities committee, the Aging committee, the Homeland
12Security and Emergency Preparedness committee, the
13Judiciary-Civil Law committee, the Least Cost Power
14Procurement committee, the Prison Reform committee, the
15Registration and Regulation committee, and the Bio-Technology
16committee; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro is an avid runner of
185K races and has promoted healthy lifestyle initiatives in his
19legislative district; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro has been a fierce
21advocate for public safety issues and was the chief sponsor of
22House Bill 975 of the 95th General Assembly, which provides for

1victims of crimes to be notified when prisoners are released
2from incarceration; the bill received unanimous House and
3Senate support and was signed into law as Public Act 95-0317;
4and
 
5    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro played an important
6role in the impeachment of former Governor Rod Blagojevich by
7serving as a co-sponsor of the resolution that created the
8Special Investigative Committee to investigate the conduct of
9the former governor and as a co-sponsor of the resolution to
10impeach Rod Blagojevich; and
 
11    WHEREAS, During his 6-year tenure in the Illinois House,
12Representative Coladipietro served as the Chief House Sponsor
13of several other meaningful Public Acts that have benefited the
14constituents of District 45 and the people of the State of
15Illinois; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro has made other
17innumerable contributions to the public good through his
18generous contributions to the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce
19Scholarship Fund and the "50 Men Who Cook" annual fundraiser,
20and through his extensive civic and volunteer involvement and
21service on the Boards of Directors for the DuPage County Area
22Project, Inc., the Glen Oaks Hospital Foundation, and as an
23active member of the Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Roselle,

1Glendale Heights, and Wheaton Chambers of Commerce; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Representative Coladipietro has received numerous
3awards and recognitions, including the Business Ledger's
4Today's Young Executive Award, the Law Bulletin Publishing
5Company's Top Forty Lawyers Under Forty Award, the Illinois Bar
6Association's Young Lawyer of the Year, the Bloomingdale
7Chamber of Commerce's Rookie of the Year, the John Marshall Law
8School Alumni Distinguished Service Award, the DuPage County
9Friend of Agriculture Award, and the Illinois Bar Association's
10Board of Governors and Community Service Awards; therefore, be
11it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we wish Representative Coladipietro all the best in his future
15endeavors and congratulate him on a job well done in the
16General Assembly; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to Representative Coladipietro, his wife, and his
19children as an expression of our esteem and respect for our
20colleague and friend.
