HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert
4Nale; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Nale was born in Pittsburgh, where he
6launched a 31-year career as a sales manager for the
7Harbison-Walker Refractories Company; forty years ago, he was
8transferred to Illinois and settled in the Southland, where he
9continued to live after his retirement; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Nale was well known as a tireless advocate
11for education reform in Rich Township High School District 227;
12he was the founder of the Cape Communicator, a newsletter he
13spent countless hours producing; the newsletter examined and
14reported on educational policy, governance, and performance in
15the local high school district; he argued passionately in favor
16of Southland College Prep Charter High School and was widely
17recognized as a passionate community leader and volunteer; Mr.
18Nale provided advice to numerous community organizations and
19committees in the Village of Olympia Fields; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert Nale had a lifelong passion for archaeology
21and was a member of the South Suburban Archaeological Society;

1    WHEREAS, Robert Nale is survived by his wife, Shirley Nale,
2and his four children; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
5we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
6Robert Nale; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Robert Nale as an expression of our
9sympathy.
