    Amends the Crematory Regulation Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the powers and duties of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

1    AN ACT concerning health.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Crematory Regulation Act is amended by
5changing Section 7 as follows:
 
6    (410 ILCS 18/7)
7    (This Section may contain text from a Public Act with a
8delayed effective date)
9    (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2021)
10    Sec. 7. Powers and duties of the Department. Subject to the
11provisions of this Act, the the Department may exercise any of
12the following powers and duties:
13        (1) Authorize standards to ascertain the
14    qualifications and fitness of applicants for licensing as
15    licensed crematory authorities and pass upon the
16    qualifications of applicants for licensure.
17        (2) Examine and audit a licensed crematory authority's
18    records, crematory, or any other aspects of crematory
19    operation as the Department deems appropriate.
20        (3) Investigate any and all unlicensed activity.
21        (4) Conduct hearings on proceedings to refuse to issue
22    licenses or to revoke, suspend, place on probation,
23    reprimand, or otherwise discipline licensees and to refuse

1    to issue licenses or to revoke, suspend, place on
2    probation, reprimand, or otherwise discipline licensees.
3        (5) Formulate rules required for the administration of
4    this Act.
5        (6) Maintain rosters of the names and addresses of all
6    licensees, and all entities whose licenses have been
7    suspended, revoked, or otherwise disciplined. These
8    rosters shall be available upon written request and payment
9    of the required fee as established by rule.
