    Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning reporting of information in counties of greater than 300,000 but less than 2,000,000.

1    AN ACT concerning local government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing Section
55-1133 as follows:
 
6    (55 ILCS 5/5-1133)
7    Sec. 5-1133. Counties of greater than 300,000 but less than
82,000,000; reporting of information. A county board in in a
9county with a population greater than 300,000 but less than
102,000,000 may by ordinance require any unit of local government
11or agency to which the county board chairman or county
12executive nominates and the county board confirms a majority of
13member appointments to provide the county with detailed
14information, including, but not limited to, the unit's or
15agency's finances, budget, contracts, employment, and ethics
16policies, in the manner and with the frequency specified by the
17ordinance. The ordinance may require the unit of local
18government or agency to immediately disclose to the county any
19internal or external findings of non-compliance with any law or
20regulation involving the unit of local government or agency and
21its personnel.
