Amends the Department of State Police Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Creates the Illinois State Police Federal Projects Trust Fund as a federal trust fund in the State treasury. Provides that the State Police Federal Projects Trust Fund is established to receive funds awarded to the Department of State Police from all federal departments and agencies for the specific purposes established by the terms and conditions of the federal awards. Requires that all interest earned by the investment or deposit of monies accumulated in the Trust Fund shall be deposited into the Trust Fund, except if the terms and conditions of the federal award otherwise provides. Amends the Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act. Creates the State Police Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Trust Fund. Provides that moneys in the Trust Fund shall be used by the Department of State Police to make grants for motor vehicle theft prevention purposes.

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of State Police Law of the

| 8 | | Sec. 2605-407. Illinois State Police Federal Projects |
| 9 | | Trust Fund. The Illinois State Police Federal Projects Trust |
| 10 | | Fund is created as a federal trust fund in the State treasury. |
| 11 | | This Trust Fund is established to receive funds awarded to the |
| 12 | | Department of State Police from all federal departments and |
| 13 | | agencies, including without limitation the Department of |
| 14 | | Homeland Security, for the specific purposes established by the |
| 15 | | terms and conditions of the federal awards. All interest earned |
| 16 | | by the investment or deposit of monies accumulated in the Trust |
| 17 | | Fund shall be deposited into the Trust Fund, except if the |
| 18 | | terms and conditions of the federal award otherwise provides.
