SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Mycal Jerron Hunter of Chicago, who
4 passed away on January 27, 2010; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on April 25, 1980 in Chicago, to Jesse
6 Hunter Jr. and Joan E. Taylor; he confessed to Lord Jesus
7 Christ as his personal savior in Maywood; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He graduated from Proviso East High School in
9 1998; he continued his education at Robert Morris College; he
10 then pursued his passion for cooking at the Cooking and
11 Hospitality Institute of Chicago; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He chose to serve his country and enlisted in the
13 United States Army on April 30, 2001; he served in the 101st
14 Airborne Division and was one of the first divisions deployed
15 to Kuwait; he completed a tour of duty in Iraq, earned many
16 medals and commendations, and received his honorable discharge
17 on May 3, 2005; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandparents,
19 Jesse Hunter Sr. and Mary Hunter and Mervin Frank Taylor; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Mycal Hunter is survived by his father, Jesse L.

1 Hunter Jr.; his mother, Joan E. Taylor; his sisters, Ericka,
2 Sidney, and Lauren; his brother, Brandon; his daughter,
3 Deyiona; his son, DeAvieyan; his loving stepmother, Janet; his
4 grandmother, Elnora; his niece, Azariah; his special cousins,
5 Jamal, Devan, Tenajsha, and D'Nai; and a host of aunts, uncles,
6 cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 his family and friends, the passing of Mycal Hunter; and be it
10 further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Mycal Hunter as a symbol of our
13 sincere sympathy.
