SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Wilbert B. "Cotton" Wuebbels of
4 Germantown, who passed away on November 2, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Wilbert Wuebbels was born on February 4, 1923, in
6 Germantown; his parents were Frank and Josephine (Vosholler)
7 Wuebbels; he married Laura Robke on June 19, 1946, at St.
8 Boniface Church in Germantown; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Wilbert Wuebbels retired from the Warren G. Murray
10 Center and as a State of Illinois driver's license examiner and
11 supervisor; he was a foreman with Kohnen Concrete Products in
12 Germantown; he and his wife were the owners of Sew New Drapery
13 in Germantown; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Wilbert Wuebbels was a member of St. Boniface
15 Catholic Church in Germantown and a co-chairman of the church's
16 picnic raffle; he was a past member of the Kernel Nut club; he
17 was a Republican precinct committeeman and vice chairman; he
18 was also a member of the Germantown Commercial Club; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Wilbert Wuebbels was an avid fan of the Chicago
20 Cubs; and

1     WHEREAS, Wilbert Wuebbels was preceded in death by his
2 parents; his daughter, Colette Wuebbels; his brothers, Frank,
3 Alois, Melvin, and Alvin Wuebbels; his sisters, Jean
4 Pflugmacher, Ella Nagel, and Leona Wuebbels; his
5 brothers-in-law, Paul Robke and Vincent Robke; and his
6 sisters-in-law, Amanda Kohnen and Adella Welch; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Wilbert Wuebbels is survived by his wife, Laura;
8 his children, Donna (Ron) Unterreiner, Marvin (Robbie)
9 Wuebbels, and Jeff (Karen) Wuebbels; his grandchildren,
10 Courtney (Sumi) Ghosh, Kari (David) Baker, Ryan (Emmy)
11 Unterreiner, Aaron Unterreiner, Michelle (Shane) Miller,
12 Melissa (David) Grapperhaus, Josh (Mandy) Wuebbels, Danielle
13 Wuebbels, Trisha Wuebbels, and Dewal Wuebbels; his 13
14 great-grandchildren; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Wuebbels
15 and Francilia Wuebbels; therefore, be it
 
16     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
17 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
18 his family and friends, the passing of Wilbert B. "Cotton"
19 Wuebbels; and be it further
 
20     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to the family of Wilbert Wuebbels as an expression of
22 our sympathy.
