SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of William R. Marcuzzo Sr. of Staunton, who
4 passed away on September 4, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, William R. Marcuzzo Sr. was born on June 4, 1930,
6 the son of the late Louis and Jennie (Fornerius) Marcuzzo; he
7 married Joyce E. Striegel on May 28, 1955; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mr. Marcuzzo was employed with the Illinois State
9 Police for 32 years; he was a Master Sergeant and head of the
10 DCI Unit; and
 
11     WHEREAS, He was a four year veteran of the United States
12 Navy and served during the Korean Conflict; he was a member of
13 St. Michael's Catholic Church in Staunton, the Staunton Knights
14 of Columbus #2197, and the Staunton Country Club; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Mr. Marcuzzo was preceded in death by his parents
16 and his brother, Lee Marcuzzo; and
 
17     WHEREAS, William Marcuzzo Sr. is survived by his wife,
18 Joyce Marcuzzo; his sons, Bill (Vickie) Marcuzzo Jr. and Mark
19 Marcuzzo; his daughters, Cynthia Baker and Jane (Steve) Woll;
20 his grandchildren, Ryan and Lindsey Marcuzzo, Alex and Annie

1 Baker, Sydney and Megan Woll, and Emilee Marcuzzo; his sister,
2 Emma English; his step-brother, Walter Dudley; his
3 half-sisters, Hilda Pribbinow and Marian Land; and his several
4 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
6 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7 his family and friends, the passing of William Marcuzzo Sr.;
8 and be it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to the family of William Marcuzzo Sr. as a symbol of
11 our sincere sympathy.
