HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to honor Bishop Charles L. Little
4for his work and dedication to his church and his community;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little is a former naval officer;
7following his retirement from active duty in 1945, he settled
8in Chicago, where he worked and began his Christian walk with
9the Lord; in the early 1970s, he was called as the pastor to
10lead the congregation of God's House for All Nations; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little has more than 50 years in
12the ministry and has dedicated his life to serving God to the
13fullness of his potential through the spreading of the Gospel
14and equipping young men and women of God with Christian values,
15family morals, and strong work ethics; his fervent and
16effective prayers have been the catalyst for a thriving
17ministry; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little is well known among his
19peers for his passionate support of community and education; he
20has also supported and organized numerous food drives, clothing
21drives, tutoring programs, and financial assistance programs;
22and

1    WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little has dedicated countless
2hours to teaching, counseling, and praying for the incarcerated
3and ex-offenders who had difficulty coping or finding their way
4back into society; he has helped to comfort many ailing people
5in nursing homes, hospitals, and sick beds whenever he was
6called or felt compelled to go; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little's loving wife of 54 years,
8First Lady Corine Little, has been a faithful supporter of her
9husband's ministry for more than 50 years; she has worked
10tirelessly both in and outside of the church; in addition to
11her work in various committees and boards at God's House for
12All Nations, she is known for her anointed motivational
13speaking, which has touched and changed many lives for God
14throughout the years; she has worked passionately with unwed
15mothers, young women in need, and members of her congregation;
16she has also visited the sick in hospitals and institutions and
17supported and organized a number of charitable programs; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little serves as a model of hard
19work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
20Illinois; therefore, be it
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1honor Bishop Charles L. Little for his many accomplishments and
2wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be
3it further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to Bishop Charles Little as a symbol of our esteem
6and respect.
