HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Michelle Bednarz
4on receiving the annual "Charles E. Piper Award" for business
5and community achievement from the Berwyn Development
6Corporation during the 25th Annual "Charles E. Piper Award"
7Dinner on November 6, 2010; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Michelle Bednarz is the Assistant Vice President
9and Public Relations Officer for Central Federal Savings and
10Loan and was recently named the Branch Manager for the new
11location in LaGrange Park; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Shortly after beginning her career with Central
13Federal, Michelle joined the Cermak Road Business Association
14in 1976; she then became a member of the Cicero Chamber of
15Commerce and Industry where she was elected to the Board of
16Directors and also served as treasurer, vice-president, and
17president; and
 
18    WHEREAS, She joined the Berwyn Development Corporation in
19the early 1980s and became a member of the Marketing Committee,
20helping to plan a community guide in conjunction with the City
21of Berwyn; she was later elected to the Board of Directors and
22served as secretary of the Executive Board; and

1    WHEREAS, She was appointed chair of the Piper Award Dinner
2Committee and brought the idea of having themes for the annual
3dinner; in addition, she serves on the Chamber Services and
4Ogden/Depot TIF committees; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She also works with the Community Chest of Cicero,
6the Rotary Club, and Berwyn/Cicero Vietnow; she chaired the
7Relay for Life survivor dinner from 2004 to 2008; and she was
8recently asked to participate in the Morton College
9Business/Accounting Advisory Committee; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
12congratulate Michelle Bednarz and wish her continued success in
13all her future endeavors; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to Michelle Bednarz as a symbol of our respect and
16esteem.
