HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of United
4 States Army Specialist Kyle James Wright of Romeoville, who
5 gave his life to his country in support of Operation Enduring
6 Freedom in Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan, on January 13,
7 2010; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Kyle Wright was a 2006 graduate of Romeoville High
9 School; he attended Timber Ridge Middle School and Plainfield
10 High School before transferring to Romeoville High School; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Kyle was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 1st
12 Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd
13 Infantry Division out of Fort Lewis, Washington; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Kyle went through intensive Arabic language
15 training at the Defense Language Institute at Fort Lewis as
16 part of his service; he was deployed to Afghanistan in July of
17 2009; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Kyle's grandfather, 1st Sergeant Ruben John
19 Wright, served in the United States Army during World War II,
20 Korea, and the Vietnam War; his father served as a medic in the
21 United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division; and

1     WHEREAS, He is survived by his parents, Lynn (James) Perry,
2 and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wright; his sisters, Krystal (Sergeant
3 Zachary) Greene, Kelly Wright, and stepsister Kayla (Dean)
4 Perry; his stepbrothers Justin Rhodes, Tom Perry, and Eric
5 Perry; his grandmother, Joyce Wright; and his two nephews;
6 therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
9 mourn, along with his family, friends, and a grateful nation,
10 the passing of United States Army Specialist Kyle Wright; and
11 be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Specialist Kyle
13 Wright and his willingness to serve his country, which led to
14 him making the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of United States Army Specialist Kyle
17 Wright as a symbol of our sincere sympathy and respect.
