HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of James P.
4 "Jim" Frost of Carpentersville, who passed away on March 24,
5 2010; and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born March 16, 1934, in Chicago, the son of
7 the late Elmer L. and Ester (nee McFarlin) Frost; he was a life
8 long resident of the Dundee-Carpentersville areas; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He was a 1952 graduate of Dundee Community High
10 School, attended Beloit College, and was a member of the Sigma
11 Chi fraternity; he was a very proud United States Army veteran,
12 having served overseas from 1957 to 1959; On December 29, 1956,
13 he married Lorraine M. Sorce; and
 
14     WHEREAS, He was a 53-year member of St. Catherine of Siena
15 Church in West Dundee, where he served as a usher and lector;
16 he served as a trustee in the Village of Carpentersville from
17 2003 to 2007 and has served as a member of the Carpentersville
18 Zoning Committee from 1992 to 2003 and again from 2003 until
19 the time of his death; and
 
20     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his
21 in-laws, Sam and Carmella Sorce; and his brother, Leonard G.

2     WHEREAS, James Frost is survived by his loving wife of 53
3 years, Lorraine M.; their children, Kim (Larry) Meier, Jeff
4 (Linda) Frost, and Tracey (Steven) Massie; his granddaughters,
5 Dawn (Dave) Reid, and Tanya and Morgan Frost; his grandson,
6 Jason (Tracey) Meier; his namesake great-grandson, James Reid;
7 his brother, John " Jack " (Deloris) Frost; his sister, Diane
8 (the late Max) Schuring; his brother-in-law, Larry (Krysha)
9 Sorce; and many nieces, nephews, and countless good and
10 faithful friends; therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
13 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of James
14 Frost; and be it further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of James P. "Jim" Frost as a symbol of
17 our sincere sympathy.
