SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
410 ILCS 45/12.1

    Amends the Lead Poisoning Prevention Act. Provides that the Department of Public Health (instead of the Attorney General and State's Attorney offices) shall report to the General Assembly annually the number of lead poisoning cases that have been referred by the Department for enforcement due to violations of the Act or for failure to comply with a notice of deficiency and mitigation order issued pursuant to the Act. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning public health.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Lead Poisoning Prevention Act is amended by
5 changing Section 12.1 as follows:
 
6     (410 ILCS 45/12.1)
7     Sec. 12.1. Report Attorney General and State's Attorney
8 report to General Assembly. The Department Attorney General and
9 State's Attorney offices shall report to the General Assembly
10 annually the number of lead poisoning cases that have been
11 referred by the Department for enforcement due to violations of
12 this Act or for failure to comply with a notice of deficiency
13 and mitigation order issued pursuant to subsection (7) of
14 Section 9 of this Act.

16     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
