SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Lola Jane (Yates)
4 Richardson of Carterville on Monday, August 1, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born on June 14, 1908, in Herrin to Wiley
6 and Mary Katherine (Atterberry) Yates; she married Dallas Ray
7 "Squat" Richardson on County Line Road on May 13, 1927; he
8 preceded her in death on January 18, 1993; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mrs. Richardson attended Baptist and Methodist
10 churches in both Carterville and Herrin; she was a member of
11 the Carterville Women's Club and Royal Neighbors of America;
12 and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was dedicated to her family and many friends
14 and enjoyed helping others throughout her life; and
 
15     WHEREAS, The passing of Lola Jane (Yates) Richardson has
16 been deeply felt by many, especially her son, Ronald Dean and
17 Frances Richardson; her daughters, Sandra Jean and Jack Cooper
18 and Dixie Lee Richardson; her two daughters-in-law, Barbara Ann
19 Richardson and Lee Richardson; her grandchildren, Wiley
20 Richardson and his wife Regina, Sue Richardson, Connie
21 Richardson, Deen Ann Richardson, Jeferrey Richardson and wife
22 Amber, Lori Ann Stout and husband Carl, Debra Rae Reagan and
23 husband Kevin, Keith Cooper and wife Debbie Lee, Kevin Orr,
24 Erik Orr, and Randall Richardson; her fourteen
25 great-grandchildren; her eight great-great-grandchildren; her
26 extended family members who provided her with love, comfort,
27 and care including, Carrie Fann and her children, Lisa, Wes,
28 Bill, and Tom; Jo Anne Payne and her children, Bill, Jennifer,
29 Emmett, and Jerry; Angie Crawford and her sons; and her very
30 special friends, Mary Esther Gray, her children, and John
31 Frost; she was preceded in death by her husband; her parents;

1 her sisters, Estella Spiller and Lois Margaret Yates; her sons,
2 Ray Jr., Larry Don, and Michael Duane; her grandson, Michael
3 Duane Richardson II; her great-granddaughter, Crystal Dawn
4 Cooper; and her treasured lifelong friends, Sally Jones, Goldie
5 Jones, and Thelma Hill; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8 Lola Jane (Yates) Richardson, and we offer our deepest sympathy
9 to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
10 it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to her family as an expression of our sincerest
13 condolences.
