SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Harriet C. Trotter of
4 Aurora on Sunday, May 23, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born on December 11, 1915, in Chicago to
6 Ralph and Edith Coughenour; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Ms. Trotter was a member of Trinity Episcopal
8 Church in Aurora; she attended the University of Illinois where
9 she was an active member of the Kappa Gamma Sorority; she was
10 also an avid bridge player; and
 
11     WHEREAS, The passing of Harriet C. Trotter has been deeply
12 felt by many, especially her children, Mary T. Richert, C.
13 Thomas Trotter, and Julie Jakowski; her nine grandchildren; and
14 her nine great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her
15 parents; her husband, Calvin T. Trotter in 1987; and her
16 brothers, Kenneth and Ralph Coughenour; therefore, be it
 
17     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
18 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19 Harriet C. Trotter, and we extend our sincere condolences to
20 her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
21 further
 
22     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
24 sympathy.
