HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives are
3 pleased to honor Henry L. Hachmeister; and
 
4     WHEREAS, Henry Hachmeister was born December 18, 1933 in
5 rural Leaf River, Illinois; he is a graduate of Leaf River High
6 School, a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker, and a CAI
7 designated graduate of the Certified Auctioneer's Institute,
8 the highest designation awarded in the auction industry; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mr. Hachmeister has served Northern Illinois as a
10 leading auctioneer since June 8, 1961 when he and his wife,
11 Nancy, conducted their very first auction for the First
12 Congregational Church of Pecatonica; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Henry Hachmeister worked as an auctioneer for more
14 than 40 years, conducting hundreds of auctions in the Northern
15 Illinois area; He founded and built Hack's Auction & Realty
16 Service, Inc., a leading Illinois Auction firm; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Mr. Hachmeister has given greatly to his community
18 of Pecatonica, Illinois by serving as a Pecatonica Village
19 Board Member, Pecatonica School Board Member, Winnebago County
20 Precinct Committeeman, and as a member of the Winnebago County
21 Zoning Board of Appeals; He has been active in the Boy Scouts
22 of America, Little League Baseball, junior tackle football,
23 Seward Congregational Church, and the Democratic Party; He is a
24 member of the National Auctioneer's Association, the Illinois
25 State Auctioneer's Hall of Fame, and the Illinois State
26 Auctioneer's Association; and
 
27     WHEREAS, Henry Hachmeister currently represents Jo
28 Daviess, Stephenson, Winnebago, Boone, Carroll, Ogle, De Kalb,
29 Whiteside, and Lee Counties as the Governor of District 1 in
30 the Illinois State Auctioneers Association and he is a past

1 President of this Association; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Mr. Hachmeister has led a life of great
3 accomplishment; his achievements are a testament to the value
4 of dedication and hard work which serve as an example for his
5 children Jody, Greg, Scot, Todd, Jan, and Swan; his
6 grandchildren Joshua, Jacob, Zachary, Molly, Erin, and Morgan;
7 and the citizens of this State; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10 we honor Henry L. Hachmeister, for living a life of service and
11 high distinction; and be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to Mr. Hachmeister as an expression of our respect
14 and esteem.
