HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, Floyd W. Sanford, Bloomingdale Township
3 Supervisor, is retiring on April 30, 2005; and
 
4     WHEREAS, Mr. Sanford has served as Bloomingdale Township
5 Supervisor for the past eight years; he was the Township Clerk
6 for 12 years; and
 
7     WHEREAS, He received a Bachelor of Art degree from Northern
8 Illinois University; he is a retired Chief Financial Officer
9 and Board of Director for 14 U.S. corporations; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He has been a DuPage County resident for 46 years;
11 he served as a member of the DuPage County Board for 14 years;
12 he was a member and Chairman of the DuPage County Forest
13 Preserve Golf Committee and served on the Storm Water Committee
14 and the Operations Committee; he was Vice-Chairman of the
15 DuPage County Public Works Committee and Executive Committee, a
16 member of the DuPage County Judicial Committee, and a member of
17 the DuPage County Zoning Board of Appeals for eight years; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He has served as the Treasurer of the Village of
19 Roselle for three years and was a member of the Village of
20 Roselle's Zoning Board of Appeals for four years; and
 
21     WHEREAS, He has served as a member of the Citizens Advisory
22 Committee School District #12; he is a charter member of the
23 Roselle-Medinah Lions Club; he has served as a Republican
24 precinct committeeman for 28 years, and has coached
25 Bloomingdale Bears football for 13 years; and
 
26     WHEREAS, He and his wife, Peggy, will celebrate their 50th
27 wedding anniversary on September 17, 2005; they are the parents
28 of four children and grandparents to nine grandchildren;

1     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3 we offer our congratulations to Floyd W. Sanford on his
4 retirement and express our gratitude for his many years of
5 public service; and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to Floyd W. Sanford as an expression of our esteem.
