SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
235 ILCS 5/6-6.5

    Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Allows manufacturers, distributors, and importing distributors to provide carbon dioxide polishing filters to a retail licensee. Requires that the cost of a single carbon dioxide polishing filter may not exceed $100 and provides that a cost adjustment factor may be used to periodically update the cost limit.

1     AN ACT concerning liquor.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Liquor Control Act of 1934 is amended by
5 changing Section 6-6.5 as follows:
 
6     (235 ILCS 5/6-6.5)
7     Sec. 6-6.5. Sanitation. A manufacturer, distributor, or
8 importing distributor may sell coil cleaning services to a
9 retail licensee at fair market cost.
10     A manufacturer, distributor, or importing distributor may
11 sell dispensing accessories to retail licensees at a price not
12 less than the cost to the manufacturer, distributor, or
13 importing distributor who initially purchased them. Dispensing
14 accessories include, but are not limited to, items such as
15 standards, faucets, cold plates, rods, vents, taps, tap
16 standards, hoses, washers, couplings, gas gauges, vent
17 tongues, shanks, and check valves.
18     Coil cleaning supplies consisting of detergents, cleaning
19 chemicals, brushes, or similar type cleaning devices may be
20 sold at a price not less than the cost to the manufacturer,
21 distributor, or importing distributor.
22     A manufacturer, distributor, or importing distributor may,
23 directly or indirectly, sell, supply, furnish, give or pay for,
24 or loan or lease carbon dioxide polishing filters for the
25 premises of a place of business of another licensee authorized
26 under this Act to sell alcoholic liquor at retail for
27 consumption on or off the premises. The cost of a single carbon
28 dioxide polishing filter shall not exceed $100. A cost
29 adjustment factor shall be used to periodically update the cost
30 limitation prescribed in this paragraph. The cost adjustment
31 factor shall be computed in the same manner as described in
32 Section 6-6 of this Act except that the base year for the cost
