    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section 
5
26-3d as follows:

    (105 ILCS 5/26-3d)  (from Ch. 122, par. 26-3d)

    Sec. 26-3d. All regional superintendents and
and all 
8
district
superintendents in any municipality of 500,000 or more 
9
inhabitants shall
collect data concerning truants, chronic 
10
truants, and truant minor pupils
from school districts and 
11
truant officers as designated by the State Board
of Education.
