    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

 

ARTICLE 1

 

    Section 5.  “AN ACT concerning appropriations”, Public Act 094-015, approved June 10, 2005, is amended by adding new Sections 31, 32, 95A and 95B to Article 119, as follows:

 

    (P.A. 94-015, Art. 119, Sec. 31, new)

    Sec. 31.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated from the School Construction Fund to the Capital Development Board for school construction grants pursuant to the School Construction Law for the projects hereinafter enumerated:

                         STATEWIDE

For School Construction Grants................. 149,000,000

 

    (P.A. 94-015, Art. 119, Sec. 32, new)

    Sec. 32.  The following named amount, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the School Construction Fund to the State Board of Education for School Construction Maintenance Grants for the projects hereinafter enumerated:

STATEWIDE

  For School Maintenance Grants................ $50,000,000

 

    (P.A. 94-015, Art. 119, Sec. 95A, new)

    Sec. 95A.  The sum of $250,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for statewide use pursuant to Section 4(a)(1) of the General Obligation Bond Act, is appropriated from the Transportation Bond Series A Fund to the Department of Transportation for land acquisition, engineering (including environmental studies and archaeological activities and other studies and activities necessary or appropriate to secure federal participation in the project), and construction, including reconstruction, extension and improvement of State highways, arterial highways, roads, structures separating highways and railroads and bridges and for purposes allowed or required by Title 23 of the U.S. Code as provided by law in order to implement a portion of the Fiscal Year 2006 road improvements program.

    Sec. 95B. The sum of $100,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Transportation Bond Series B Fund to the Department of Transportation for construction costs, making grants and providing project assistance to municipalities, special transportation districts, private non-profit carriers, mass transportation carriers and the Intercity rail program for the acquisition, construction, extension, reconstruction, and improvement of mass transportation facilities, including rapid transit, intercity rail, bus and other equipment used in connection therewith, as provided by law, pursuant to Section 4 (b)(1) of the General Obligation Bond Act, as amended.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect immediately.
