SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $18,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the payment of Monetary Award Program grants.  Appropriates $3,700,000 from the Monetary Award Program Reserve Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the payment of Silas Purnell Illinois Incentive for Access grants.  Effective July 1, 2005.

    AN ACT making appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

Section 5.  The amount of $18,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the payment of Monetary Award Program grants to students eligible to receive such grants, as provided by law.

 

Section 10.  The amount of $3,700,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Monetary Award Program Reserve Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the payment of Silas Purnell Illinois Incentive for Access grants, as provided by law.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
