SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 were saddened to learn of the death of Jack Burgess Sr. of
4 Caseyville, formerly of East St. Louis, on February 23, 2004;
5 and
 
6     WHEREAS, Jack Burgess Sr. was born in Collinsville on May
7 26, 1941, to Donald V. and Ruth I. (nee Campbell) Burgess; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mr. Burgess retired after 29 years as a patrolman
9 for the East St. Louis Police Department; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He was a member of the Hercules Lodge 90
11 I.B.P.O.E. of W. of East St. Louis; and
 
12     WHEREAS, The passing of Jack Burgess Sr. will be deeply
13 felt by many, especially his wife, Mary (nee Moore) Burgess;
14 his two sons, Jack L. Burgess Jr. and Jimmy D. (Katrina)
15 Burgess; his daughter, Cynthia A. Dedmon; his four
16 grandchildren, Stacey Burgess, Crystal Burgess, Dean Burgess,
17 and Amanda Dedmon; his four sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet
18 (James "Butch") Biggs, Shirley (Ron) Gallatin, Joyce (Mike)
19 Hollowell, and Sherry Stark; and his special friend, Robert
20 Thompson; and
 
21     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and his
22 brother, Donald E. Burgess; therefore, be it
 
23     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
25 Jack Burgess Sr. along with all who knew and loved him and
26 extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and
27 be it further
 
28     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
