SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with great sadness of the passing of Diane Marie Goding
4 of Aurora on November 17, 2003; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Diane Marie Fitzpatrick was born on July 10, 1955
6 in Gary, Indiana to Edward and Mary (Mernie) Fitzpatrick; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Mrs. Goding spent her formative years in Joliet
8 where she attended St. Raymond's Grade School; she was a
9 graduate of St. Francis Academy and St. Joseph School of
10 Nursing; she was a 23-year employee of Rush-Copley Medical
11 Center as a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Mrs. Goding was a member of Holy Angels Church,
13 St. Anne's Society, the West Aurora Sports Boosters Club, and
14 the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Cantigny Post in Joliet; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Mrs. Goding will be remembered for being a loving
16 mother, wife, and friend; she cherished time spent with those
17 she loved at holiday parties, summer gatherings, and "gourmet
18 club" dinners; she will also be remembered for her wonderful
19 sense of humor and as a brave and incredible role model; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Diane Marie Goding has been deeply
21 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her loving
22 husband of 26 years, Dan Goding; her daughters, Sarah,
23 Katherine, and Julie Goding; her parents, Edward and Mary
24 (Mernie) Fitzpatrick; her sister, Kathleen (Jim) Frazer; her
25 brothers, Ronald Fitzpatrick, James Fitzpatrick, and Gerald
26 (Sheila) Fitzpatrick; her mother and father-in-law, George
27 "Bud" and Lois Goding; her brother-in-law, Michael Goding; her
28 sisters-in-law, Mary (Bill) Wolodkiewiez and Susan (Greg)
29 Sullivan; and by her numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
30 and a great nephew; and

1     WHEREAS, Mrs. Goding was preceded in death by her paternal
2 grandparents, Joseph and Agnes (Dettmer) Fitzpatrick; her
3 maternal grandparents, Herbert and Marie (Ambre) Ehrsam; her
4 six uncles, Joe, Martin, and Robert Fitzpatrick and Gerald,
5 Robert, and Roy Ehrsam; and her aunt, Mary (Fitzpatrick)
6 Higgins; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn, along
9 with all who knew her, the death of Diane Marie Goding of
10 Aurora; and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Diane Marie Goding with our
13 sincerest condolences.
