 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois learned with regret of the death of Phillip "Booley"
 4    Keck of Gillespie on Sunday, November 16, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Keck was born June 28, 1930, in Gillespie,
 6    to  Phillip Henry Keck Sr. and Theresine Grandame  Wyatt;  he
 7    married Gloria Econie in 1951 in Benld; and

 8        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Keck  valiantly  served his country in the
 9    U.S. Army during the Korean War; and

10        WHEREAS, Mr. Keck retired as a miner from  Monterey  Coal
11    Co.;  he  was  a  member  of VFW Post 4547 in Gillespie and a
12    former  member  of  the  Board  of  Education  for  Gillespie
13    schools; and

14        WHEREAS, The passing of Phillip Keck has been deeply felt
15    by many, especially his wife, Gloria; his  daughters,  Denise
16    Ditch   and   Lisa   (husband,   Tim)   Bahn;   and  his  two
17    grandchildren; therefore, be it

18        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
19    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing
20    of Phillip "Booley" Keck, and we extend our deepest  sympathy
21    to  his  family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and
22    be it further

23        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
24    presented  to  the family of Mr. Keck as an expression of our
25    sincere condolences.
