| AN ACT concerning planning.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing
Section 11-12-5.1 as follows:
|

| (65 ILCS 5/11-12-5.1) (from Ch. 24, par. 11-12-5.1)

| Sec. 11-12-5.1. School land donations. The governing board |
| 8 |
| of a school
district may submit to the corporate authorities of |
| 9 |
| a municipality having
a population of less than 500,000 that
|
| 10 |
| which is served by the school
district a
written request that a |
| 11 |
| meeting be held to discuss school land donations
from a |
| 12 |
| developer of a subdivision or resubdivision of land included |
| 13 |
| within
the area served by the school district. For the purposes |
| 14 |
| of this Section,
"school land donation" means a donation of |
| 15 |
| land for public school purposes
or a cash contribution in lieu |
| 16 |
| thereof, or a combination of both.
