To the Honorable Members of the

Illinois Senate

93^rd General Assembly

            Pursuant to Article IV, Section 9(b) of the Illinois Constitution of 1970, I hereby veto Senate Bill 2151, entitled “AN ACT concerning municipalities.”   I recognize and appreciate the hard work of all the sponsors in passing this legislation.  However this bill impacts other municipalities and is not acceptable in the current form.  I look forward to reviewing legislation that addresses these concerns.

            For this reason, I hereby veto and return Senate Bill 2151.
