1 AN ACT in relation to the transfer of real property.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Director of Natural Resources, on behalf
5 of the State of Illinois, is authorized to execute and
6 deliver to the Village of Aroma Park, an Illinois unit of
7 local government, of the County of Kankakee, State of
8 Illinois, for and in consideration of $1 paid to the
9 Department, a quit claim deed to the following described real
10 property:
11 TRACT 1:
12 A 60 foot road, the West and South line of which are
13 described as follows: Commencing at a point on the West
14 line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 30
15 North, Range 13 West of the Second Principal Meridian, in
16 Kankakee County, Illinois, said point being 200.0 feet
17 South of the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of
18 said Section 23; thence North along the West line of said
19 Section 23 a distance of 530.0 feet to a point; thence
20 West on a line parallel with the South line of the West
21 Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 23 a
22 distance of 150 feet to a point which is 330 feet North
23 and 150 feet West of the Southwest corner of the
24 Northwest Quarter of said Section 23, said point being
25 the point of ending of this description;
26 TRACT 2:
27 A 60 foot road, the center line of which is described as
28 follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of the
29 Northwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 30 North, Range
30 13 West of the Second Principal Meridian, in Kankakee

1 County, Illinois; thence North along the West line of the
2 Northwest Quarter of said Section 23 a distance of 330.0
3 feet to a point; thence East on a line parallel with the
4 South line of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of
5 said Section 23 a distance of 1,434.60 feet to a point on
6 the center line of Bridge Street extended in the Village
7 of Aroma Park; thence North along the centerline of
8 Bridge Street, extended a distance of 359.7 feet to a
9 point, said point to be known as the point of beginning.
10 From said point of beginning; thence West on a line
11 parallel with the South line of the West Half of the
12 Northwest Quarter of said Section 23 a distance of
13 1,693.1 feet to a point; thence Southerly a distance of
14 432.1 feet to a point which is 330 feet North and 150
15 feet West of the Southwest corner of the Northwest
16 Quarter of said Section 23, said point being the point of
17 ending of this description; and
18 TRACT 3:
19 Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Northwest
20 Quarter of Section 23, Township 30 North, Range 13 West
21 of the Second Principal Meridian in Kankakee County,
22 Illinois; thence North along the West line of the
23 Northwest Quarter of said Section 23 a distance of 330.0
24 feet to a point; thence West along a line parallel with
25 the South line of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter
26 of said Section 23 a distance of 265.4 feet to a point;
27 thence continuing West along the last described line 20
28 feet more or less to the low water line of the Easterly
29 bank of the Iroquois River, said point to be known as the
30 point of beginning. From said point of beginning; thence
31 East along a line parallel with the South line of the
32 West Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 23 a
33 distance of 20 feet more or less to a point; thence

1 continuing East along the last described line a distance
2 of 115.4 feet to a point on the center line of a road;
3 thence Northerly along said center line a distance of
4 432.1 feet to a point which is 689.7 feet North of the
5 South line of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of
6 said Section 23 and 1,693.1 feet West of the center line
7 of Bridge Street extended in the Village of Aroma Park;
8 thence East on a line parallel with the South line of the
9 West Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 23 a
10 distance of 1,693.1 feet to a point on the center line of
11 Bridge Street extended; thence North along the center
12 line of Bridge Street extended a distance of 185.0 feet
13 to a point; thence South 89 degrees 04 minutes West a
14 distance of 437.9 feet to a point; thence Northwest a
15 distance of 13 feet more or less to a point on the low
16 water line of the Southerly bank of the Kankakee River;
17 thence Westerly and Northwesterly along the Southerly low
18 water line of the Kankakee River and Southerly along the
19 Easterly low water line of the Iroquois River to the
20 point of beginning, EXCEPTING the West Half and the North
21 Half of the 60 foot road described as follows: Commencing
22 at the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of said
23 Section 23; thence North along the West line of the
24 Northwest Quarter of said Section 23 a distance of 330.0
25 feet to a point; thence East on a line parallel with the
26 South line of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of
27 said Section 23 a distance of 1,434.60 feet to a point on
28 the center line of Bridge Street extended in the Village
29 of Aroma Park, thence North along the center line of
30 Bridge Street extended a distance of 359.7 feet to a
31 point, said point to be known as the point of beginning.
32 From said point of beginning; thence West on a line
33 parallel with the South line of the West Half of the
34 Northwest Quarter of said Section 23 a distance of

1 1,693.1 feet to a point; thence Southerly a distance of
2 432.1 feet to a point which is 330 feet North and 150
3 feet West of the Southwest corner of the Northwest
4 Quarter of said Section 23, said point being the point of
5 ending, SUBJECT TO the right of way of County Highway 3.
6 ALSO EXCEPTING the South 200.00 feet of that part lying
7 West of the 60 foot road as measured perpendicular to the
8 South line of said Tract 3;
9 Tracts 1, 2 and 3 containing a total of 20.66 acres, more or
10 less, all situated in Kankakee County, Illinois.
11 Section 10. The conveyance of real property authorized
12 by Section 5 shall be made subject to: (1) existing public
13 utilities, existing public roads, and any and all
14 reservations, easements, covenants, and restrictions of
15 record; and (2) the express condition that if the real
16 property ceases to be used for public recreational purposes,
17 it shall revert to the State of Illinois, Department of
18 Natural Resources.
19 Section 15. The Director of Natural Resources shall
20 obtain a certified copy of the portions of this Act
21 containing the title, the enacting clause, the effective
22 date, the appropriate Section or Sections containing the land
23 descriptions of the property to be conveyed, and this Section
24 within 60 days after its effective date and, upon receipt of
25 the payment required by the Section or Sections, if any
26 payment is required, shall record the certified document in
27 the Recorder's Office in the County in which the land is
28 located.
29 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
30 becoming law.
