To the Honorable Members of the

Illinois Senate

93^rd General Assembly

Pursuant to Article IV, Section 9(b) of the Illinois Constitution of 1970, I hereby veto Senate Bill 257, entitled “AN ACT in relation to deer hunting.”   I recognize and appreciate the hard work of all the sponsors in passing this legislation.  However, Senate Bill 257 contains identical language as Public Act 93-0554, effective August 20, 2003. 

For this reason, I hereby veto and return Senate Bill 257.
