HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The Women's Bar Association of Illinois was
3 founded in 1914 to ensure the success of women attorneys
4 through business and professional development and to advocate
5 for women's interests; and
 
6     WHEREAS, The Women's Bar Association of Illinois will
7 install Lori G. Levin as its 2004-2005 president; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Ms. Levin received her Bachelor of Science in
9 Journalism from the University of Illinois and received her
10 Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center; and
 
11     WHEREAS, After graduation from law school, Ms. Levin was
12 employed by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office for more
13 than 20 years, 10 of those years as a lead trial attorney; she
14 also served that office as supervisor of the Seniors and
15 Persons with Disabilities Division; and
 
16     WHEREAS, She currently serves as the Executive Director of
17 the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, helping
18 to improve the administration of criminal justice; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Ms. Levin has been an active and committed member
20 of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois, co-chairing many of
21 its significant events; she has served on the Board of
22 Directors since 2000 and moved through the ranks as treasurer,
23 second vice president, and first vice president; she has
24 dedicated herself to serving the advancement of women's issues
25 and eagerly takes up the mantle of presidency of the Women's
26 Bar Association of Illinois; and
 
27     WHEREAS, The Women's Bar Association will hold the 90th
28 Installation Dinner on June 2, 2004, to celebrate the
29 installation of Lori G. Levin as the 90th president of the

1 association; therefore, be it
 
2     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
4 congratulate Lori G. Levin on her installation as president of
5 the Women's Bar Association of Illinois; and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to Lori G. Levin, President of the Women's Bar
8 Association, as a token of our respect.
