 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the  State of Illinois are pleased to recognize milestones in
 4    the lives of citizens of the State; and

 5        WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that  Deputy  Chief
 6    Ed  Tepper  will  be  retiring  from  active service with the
 7    Hanover Park Police Department in May of 2003; and

 8        WHEREAS, Deputy Chief Tepper has served  30  years  as  a
 9    police officer for the Village of Hanover Park; he started as
10    a  patrol  officer  in  February  of 1973; he was promoted to
11    sergeant in 1987 and rose to the rank of lieutenant in  1994;
12    he was appointed Deputy Chief in April of 2001; and

13        WHEREAS,  Deputy  Chief Tepper has consistently displayed
14    the highest professional attitude in law  enforcement  toward
15    the apprehension of criminals and public safety; and

16        WHEREAS,   Deputy   Chief   Tepper   will  celebrate  his
17    retirement with his wife Kim,  family,  friends,  and  fellow
18    employees on May 7, 2003; therefore, be it

19        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
20    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
21    we congratulate Deputy Chief Ed Tepper on his retirement from
22    the  Hanover Park Police Department after 30 years of service
23    and commend him for his years of dedication to the service of
24    the people of Hanover Park; and be it further

25        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
26    presented to Deputy Chief Ed Tepper as a token of our respect
27    and  esteem and with our best wishes for a happy and peaceful
28    retirement.
