    Amends the Illinois Controlled Substances Act. Makes grammatical changes in the statute relating to the unlawful delivery of a controlled substance to a pregnant woman.

1     AN ACT in relation to criminal law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Illinois Controlled Substances Act is
5 amended by changing Section 407.2 as follows:
 
6     (720 ILCS 570/407.2)  (from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 1407.2)
7     Sec. 407.2. Delivery of a controlled substance to a
8 pregnant woman.
9     (a) Any person who violates subsection (a) of Section 401
10 of this Act by delivering a controlled substance to a woman he
11 or she knows to be pregnant may be sentenced to imprisonment
12 for a term twice the maximum amount authorized by Section 401
13 of this Act.
14     (b) Any person who delivers an amount of a controlled
15 substance set forth in subsections (c) and (d) of Section 401
16 of this Act to a woman he or she knows to be pregnant commits a
17 Class 1 felony. The fine for a violation of this subsection (b)
18 shall not be more than $250,000.
