1     AN ACT concerning property.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Conveyances Act is amended by changing
5 Section 2 as follows:
 
6     (765 ILCS 5/2)  (from Ch. 30, par. 2)
7     Sec. 2. Every estate, gift, grant, deed, mortgage, lease,
8 release, or confirmation of lands, tenements, rents, services
9 or hereditaments made or had, or hereafter to be made or had,
10 by any person or persons, being of full age and sound mind, and
11 not procured by duress, to any person or persons, and all
12 recoveries, judgments and enforcements had or made, or to be
13 had or made, are shall be good and effectual to him, her or
14 them to whom it is or shall be so made, had or given, and to all
15 others, to his, her or their use, against the judgment debtor,
16 seller, donor, grantor, mortgagor, lessor, releasor, or
17 confirmor, and against his, her or their heirs, claiming the
18 same only as heir or heirs, and each of them, and against all
19 others having or claiming any title or interest in the same,
20 only to the use of the same judgment debtor, seller, donor,
21 grantor, mortgagor, lessor, releasor or confirmor, or his, her
22 or their heirs, at the time of the judgment, enforcement,
23 bargain, sale, mortgage, covenant, lease, release, gift or
24 grant made.
