    Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Makes a technical change in the Section concerning the definitions of past and future damages.

1     AN ACT concerning civil procedure.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
5 changing Section 2-1703 as follows:
 
6     (735 ILCS 5/2-1703)  (from Ch. 110, par. 2-1703)
7     Sec. 2-1703. Past/Future Damages. As used in this Part:
8     (a) "Past damages" means damages that have accrued when the
9 damages findings are made.
10     (b) "Future damages" includes all damages that which the
11 trier of fact finds will accrue after the damages findings are
12 made, including, without limitation, damages for future
13 medical or health treatment, care or custody, loss of future
14 earnings, loss of bodily function, future pain and suffering,
15 and future physical impairment and inconvenience.
