SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
15 ILCS 405/26 new

    Amends the State Comptroller Act. Requires that the Comptroller notify the Auditor General, the Governor, and the 4 legislative leaders when a State agency is delinquent in meeting reporting requirements set by law. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning the State Comptroller.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The State Comptroller Act is amended by adding
5 Section 26 as follows:
 
6     (15 ILCS 405/26 new)
7     Sec. 26. Delinquent reporting notification. When the
8 Comptroller determines that a State agency is delinquent in
9 reporting to the Office of Comptroller as required by law, the
10 Comptroller shall notify the Office of the Auditor General, the
11 Office of the Governor, the Speaker and Minority Leader of the
12 House of Representatives, and the President and Minority Leader
13 of the Senate of the delinquency.
 
14     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15 becoming law.
