SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Donald Dean Larimore of Pekin, who
4passed away on December 19, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dean Larimore was born to Bert Nelson and
6Kathleen Emma (Smith) Larimore in Pekin on February 24, 1934;
7he graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1952; he
8served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1957; he married June
9Yvonne "Bonnie" Templeton in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 7,
101994; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dean Larimore first worked at Peoria Thermal; he
12was also a self-employed owner of Dean's Heating and Air
13Conditioning in East Peoria for many years; he was a building
14engineer and maintenance worked at First Financial Bank for 10
15years, retiring on July 17, 1996; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dean Larimore was a member of Bayview Baptist
17Church in Washington, and he was a life member of Empire Lodge
18126, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Pekin; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dean Larimore was a longtime private pilot who
20loved flying; he also square-danced for many years and enjoyed
21roller skating; he was very grateful to have traveled on an

1Honor Flight trip; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Dean Larimore was preceded in death by his
3parents; his wife; one stepson, Mark Lawson; two brothers; and
4two sisters; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dean Larimore is survived by his stepson, Gary
6Lawson; his stepdaughter, Carol (Tim) Reed; his
7granddaughters, Mary Schneider and Amy (Jeff) Frank; his
8grandson, Daniel (Angie) Reed; his great-grandchildren,
9Malorie (Aaron) Bramm, Andrew (Erica Doman) Schneider, Eloise
10Frank, and Vincent Schneider; and his great-great-grandsons,
11Francisco and Elliot; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Donald Dean Larimore and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Dean Larimore as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
