SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Eldon Arthur "Curly" Yetter of Havana,
4who passed away on December 13, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eldon Yetter was born to Leo and Mabel (Hurlburt)
6Yetter in Havana on August 21, 1929; he married Rosalyn Kleier
7in Topeka on July 31, 1955; he served in the 1st Marine
8Division of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eldon Yetter owned and operated Yetter Insurance
10Agency, and he also farmed; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Eldon Yetter was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran
12Church, American Legion Post #138, VFW Post #6408, the
13Irrigated Growers Association, and the Mason County Farm
14Bureau; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Eldon Yetter was an avid outdoorsman and duck
16hunter; he had a tremendous sense of family and community
17history, and he enjoyed imparting his knowledge of local
18folklore upon his children; he was also known for his
19infectious laugh; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Eldon Yetter was preceded in death by parents;

1his wife; his stepfather, Dr. F. J. Corey; and his sister,
2Eleanor Wendt; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Eldon Yetter is survived by his sons, Dr. Rodney
4(Mary) Yetter, Dr. Tad (Debbie) Yetter, and Aaron (Michelle)
5Yetter; his grandchildren, Kaleb, Joshua, Jacob, Kady, Haley,
6and Eden; his step-grandchildren, Emilie and Madison; and his
7step-great-granddaughter, Hallie; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Eldon Arthur "Curly" Yetter and extend our sincere condolences
11to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Eldon Yetter as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
