SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Stuart A. Pollitt of Canton, who
4passed away on July 13, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt was born to Gilbert and Ruby
6(Potts) Pollitt in Canton on October 27, 1951; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt made a career serving in the U.S.
8Armed Forces, first serving in the U.S. Army and then in the
9U.S. Navy; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt was an avid collector of coins and
11signed Chicago Cubs baseballs; he enjoyed the study of
12military history and spending time with his friends at Jack's;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt was preceded in death by his
15parents and his brother, Dennis Pollitt; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt is survived by his niece, Missi
17(Sam) Thomas; his great-nieces, Velvet (Patrick Lawrence)
18Thomas, Josey (James Harris) Thomas, and Londyn Thomas; and
19his great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Dre, Jur-ney,
20Justyce, and Luna; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Stuart A. Pollitt and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Stuart Pollitt as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
