SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jerome "Jerry" Slowik, who passed away
4on October 2, 2022 at the age of 75; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik was born to Stanley and Irene Slowik
6on August 25, 1947; he lived in both River Forest and Elmwood
7Park; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik graduated from St. Patrick High
9School; he earned his Bachelor of Science and his Master of
10Science in Taxation from DePaul University; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik worked as an accountant and
12controller for several firms, the Pizzerias Uno and Due, and
13El Milagro; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik served as treasurer of the
15Nineteenth Century Charitable Association; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik participated in a singles tennis
17club and was a fan of the Chicago White Sox, the Chicago
18Blackhawks, and Northwestern University; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik was preceded in death by his

1parents; and
 
2    WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Jerry Slowik was
3survived by his wife, Helene (Bak) Slowik; his son, Joseph
4"Joe" Slowik; his cousin, Maryann Tolzien; his
5brothers-in-law, Martin, Richard, and Bernie; and his nephews;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Jerome "Jerry" Slowik and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Jerry Slowik as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
